Fungal Nail Treatments in Hove & Southwick

Which Fungal Nail Treatment Is Right For You?

Fungal nails occur when a fungal infection affects the toenail, causing it to become discolored, thickened, brittle, or distorted. The infection is usually caused by fungi that thrive in warm, damp environments like sweaty shoes or communal areas. It can be stubborn and, if left untreated, may cause discomfort or lead to further nail damage.

If you have fungal nails, it’s important to see a podiatrist because they can accurately diagnose the condition and recommend effective treatments. The treatment options at Podiatrust include Pact med, topical treatments, Clearanail and nail surgery.

Book yourself an assessment with one of our podiatrists and we can discuss the best treatment for you!

At Podiatrust, we offer advanced fungal nail treatment in Hove and Southwick to help restore nail health safely and effectively. From our private clinic on Boundary Road in Hove, we provide professional assessment and evidence-based treatments for fungal nail infections, using clinically proven technologies not widely available in the local area.

Fungal nail infections can cause nails to discolour, thicken, become brittle, lift from the nail bed, and in some cases produce an unpleasant odour. Without appropriate treatment, infections can worsen over time and may become painful or difficult to manage. Our service focuses on accurate diagnosis, effective treatment, and long-term prevention.

Specialist Fungal Nail Care in Hove & Southwick

Fungal nail infections can be persistent and challenging to treat. At Podiatrust, your nails are assessed by a qualified podiatrist to confirm the presence and severity of infection before treatment is recommended.

We offer modern, podiatrist-led treatments that target the infection directly, while protecting surrounding healthy tissue. Treatment is tailored to the individual, taking into account nail thickness, extent of infection, and lifestyle factors.

PACT® Photodynamic Antimicrobial Therapy

PACT® is a pain-free, non-invasive treatment that is highly effective at destroying fungus and bacteria within the nail. A specialised dye is applied to the affected nail, which selectively targets fungal and bacterial cells. The nail is then exposed to a high-powered LED light, triggering a chemical reaction that destroys the infection without damaging healthy tissue.

PACT® was developed in Germany and is delivered as a course of six weekly treatment sessions. A free 15-minute review appointment is included three months after the final session to assess progress. In more severe or long-standing cases, an additional treatment cycle may be recommended. Podiatrust is proud to be the only clinic offering PACTmed treatment in Brighton and East Sussex.

Regarding the pact tmt, we do 3 weekly sessions, then a 4-week break, then repeat and clear nails after.

CLEARANAIL® Treatment

CLEARANAIL® is an advanced treatment option suitable for moderate to severe fungal nail infections. It uses controlled micro-penetration to allow treatment to access the infected areas of the nail more effectively. CLEARANAIL® is safe, virtually pain-free, and can deliver visible improvements within two to eight weeks. This treatment is only available through a podiatrist.

Clearanail is for mild/moderate infection

We prioritise clinical accuracy, transparency, and realistic expectations. Your podiatrist will explain your treatment options clearly and advise on nail care and prevention to reduce the risk of reinfection.

We are committed to:

Fungal nail treatment prices start from £600 for PACT® and £460 for CLEARANAIL®.
